With sadness and regret, we announce the passing of Colin Fallaize MU0FAL (1892) on July 16th.  QSP via M0PCB who first learned of his passing:  

This evening a good friend of mine posted along news that Colin MU0FAL has sadly become silent key yesterday afternoon. I don’t have any more information than that at the moment. Bob GU4YOX may be able to find out more through local channels.  Colin was a great guy, he will be missed. I met him a couple of times in person during visits to Guernsey some years ago.

and a followup QSP from our President, Bob GU4YOX:

..I did exchange messages in January to see if Colin could make the AGM and would make special arrangements for him to attend. He said he had been diagnosed with cancer and was awaiting treatment. He has been in a wheelchair for over 35 years I have known him. Very sad news indeed. Will follow up when back at the weekend. 

A further QSP via Dick GU4CHY:  “A victim of cancer I’m afraid. We had hundreds of QSOs, I shall miss him greatly.”  Dick also passed along the newspaper announcement of his obit:

At the Princess Elizabeth Hospital and of Lorbert, Pleinheaume Road, on 16th July 2024, aged 61 years. Dearly loved partner of Melody, much loved son of Beryl (Collas) and the late Roger Fallaize, dear brother of the late Shaun and loved brother in-law of Davina. 

Colin joined FOC in April 2008. Rest in peace sir.
