    Annual General Meeting Announcement by G7VJR, Committee Secretary

    The Annual General Meeting and an Extraordinary General Meeting will be held at 5.30pm on Saturday 22nd October 2016 at Jurys Inn, Midsummer Boulevard, Milton Keynes, MK9 2HP, England.

    2. Minutes of the previous AGM and 2015 EGM held on 31 October 2015
    3. Chairman’s report
    4. Secretary’s report
    5. Treasurer’s report
    6. Installation of any new Committee members or Chairman
    7. Appointment of Accounts examiner
    8. Any Other Business (AOB)

    Items of Any Other Business must be notified to the Committee Secretary, Michael G7VJR, at least 50 days before the AGM, in accordance with para. 11.3 of the FOC Constitution, i.e. 2nd September 2016. Please also send Apologies for Absence to G7VJR, e-mail preferred, to michael@g7vjr.org.


    Extraordinary General Meeting


    This AGM will be followed immediately by an Extraordinary General Meeting to consider changing clause 9 of the Constitution to make allowance for the President to reside in the British Isles (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey), rather than restricting the residence to the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) as at present.


    EXISTING WORDING: 


    9. President and Vice Presidents. The President shall be appointed by the Committee from the membership and shall reside in the United Kingdom. The President can serve up to two years in office but shall not be eligible for re-appointment. The President shall be installed at an appropriate Club function and take office immediately. The Committee may appoint a member who has given exemplary service to the Club, to the honorary position of Vice President. 


    The proposed change is to replace the words "United Kingdom" with the words "British Isles". There are no other changes proposed. The proposed new wording of clause 9 is therefore:
